Our grinding, cut-off, combination flap wheels are available in two types of abrasive grits, aluminum oxide and zirconium, each designed to meet the high standards.

Aluminum Oxide- A tough, general purpose abrasive that cuts and grinds metals. It is made of tenacious crystals, resistant to wear with sharp corner grain fracture. It enables perfect penetration of tenacious materials and is used specifically with high processing speeds. From a tenacity point of view, it exceeds all other grain types. Its characteristics mean it is suited for polishing materials really resistant to traction like carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze, iron, cast iron, aluminum, steel, and many more.

Zirconium- This has the capability to self-energize during polishing so is long lasting in heavy removal requirements. For the toughest, hardest jobs, you’ll want the toughest, hardest abrasive- our Zirconium Abrasive Wheels. They are specially designed to handle extremely difficult applications: iron, stainless steel and forgings. Best of all, they’re designed for longer working life.
